Formed after the demise of Beat Drun Juel, Djunah (pronounced JUNE-uh) resurrects singer-guitarist Donna Diane’s raw, aggression-soaked performance style into a power duo that needs to be seen as much as heard. Diane plays two instruments at once, laying down noise riffs on guitar and crushing low-end on a Moog bass synthesizer that she plays simultaneously with her feet. She’s joined by drummer Nick Smalkowski, a veteran heavy hitter from Midwest acts like Arctic Sleep and Fake Limbs. The Chicago duo tours in support of their debut album, "Ex Voto," recorded in March 2019 by Kurt Ballou at God City Studio and releasing on November 1 on Milwaukee label Triple Eye Industries.
