John K. Samson is a talk-singing sober leftist vegetarian Quaker from Winnipeg, Treaty One Territory, where he lives with his partner and fellow songwriter, Christine Fellows, and helps run a curling league and a chapter of Book Clubs for Inmates.

We kinda already mentioned Christine, but here’s some more. Christine Fellows finds music in sounds we tend to take for granted: the voices of the people we love, the sounds of the spaces we move through as part of our daily lives. Alternately delicate and rousing, her songs shed light on characters that tend to be overlooked and isolated, those whose struggles and triumphs are difficult to quantify. Many of her characters are women, an intentional focus that Christine has continued through 7 solo albums that highlight the vivid interior lives of pigeon-fanciers, shut-ins, runaways, and solitary travellers in wintery northlands. Just so ya know, she lives in Canada with her partner and fellow songwriter, John K Samson.
