After years of saying goodbye to playing in full-time musical projects, it was the human bond of friendship that sparked the inception of To The Sky. Sharing their love of space rock and solid hooks, vocalist Brian Tombari, drummer Chris Bodjanac, and guitarists Adam Balfour and Matt Schoeffler decided to breathe new life into the snippets of song ideas they had been trading back and forth. Entering the studio in the fall of 2020 with a vast catalogue of demos, they emerged with the five songs that make up their debut EP, Breathing Patterns.
Song-by song, the band examines themes of love, loss, despair and hope. Bolstered by an intense rhythm section and a poignant, yet sentimental vocal delivery, each track is served up drenched in ambient, fuzzed out guitars. The EP harkens back to the days 90s music festival bombast, while staying firmly grounded in the present, in the most masterful of ways. This is To The Sky.
