Bathed in dim lights and fire baptized on well-trodden stages, A Deer A Horse wear the grime, grit, and gusto of hundreds of shows like a badge of honor. The band conjoins rock, metal, and punk in an unholy union praised by A.V. Club, Consequence of Sound, Village Voice, and Revolver who described them as “somewhere between the Melvins, Helms Alee, Red Fang, and Sleater-Kinney.” After stoking buzz underground, the group only sharpened their edges with unnerving melodies and cathartic dirges on their 2022 full-length debut album, 'Grind.'

Irish foursome Hands Up Who Wants to Die, featuring members of Shifting, No Spill Blood and Wild Rocket, worked with long-time collaborators John ‘Spud’ Murphy (Black Midi, Lankum, Caroline) and Ian Chestnutt on their new album, Nil All. The album expands upon the delicate → brutal spectrum found on their previous efforts, pushing further into spacious light and claustrophobic void. The band has twisted minimal musical ideas in various directions, with Spud’s sonic orchestration harnessing the exploration of sinuous melodies, elastic time and delicate micropolyphony.
