Bernadette is the solo side-project of Chris Belkofer; one half of Milwaukee’s gothic post-punk duo Genau. Keeping the dreary tones and darkish vibes of that project, but leaving most of the song structure behind, Bernadette is rooted in the no wave and post-punk musical traditions of using a guitar to create music that doesn’t necessarily sound like it was made with a guitar. You could describe the work of Bernadette as “experimenting with sound shapes”, or maybe instead as drone rock, noise rock, ambient drone, minimalist, dark wave, or even avant-garde “compositions”.

Donny Mahlmeister is a Chicago/Oak Park based musician and designer with a focus on improvised music using modular synthesizers, guitar, lap steel and other electronic processing. His recent solo work encompasses elements of minimalist soundscapes intersected with abstract gestural movements. In addition to his solo work he currently collaborates with Jamie Levinson as Levinson/Mahlmeister (Trouble in Mind Records) and Theo Katsaounis (Joan Of Arc). Most recently he curated of series of improvised electro/acoustic performances at the Compound Yellow Gallery in Oak Park. Prior to moving to Oak Park, Donny had been a long-standing member of the Chicago and Midwest rock and improvised scenes, working with A Tundra, Early Day Miners, Collections of Colonies of Bees, Tobin Summerfield, Ryan Packard, Jamie Branch, Catherine Young and Bill McKay.

Todd Mattei is a musician and artist from Chicago. His most recent release, Hold You, is available on Felix Onyx Records. In the past he has collaborated, mostly as a guitarist, with bands like Joan of Arc, Male, Sharks and Seals, and Friend/Enemy. Currently, he makes music on his own—improvising, writing, and producing with analogue synthesizers, samplers, a field recorder, and a computer. An animator and video maker, Todd produces the visuals which often accompany his music. He has also collaborated with dance and movement artists, notably Victoria Bradford and Freedom From and Freedom To.

Visual Artist Gordon Karlsson is A Madison, WI native enjoying exploring the Milwaukee music scene after moving to town. He is Golfshoe Music's resident VJ, deadhead, and collectible Grateful Dead Bean Bear enthusiast. He specializes in combining different styles of visual content, from pre-rendered clip playback in Resolume to generative visuals in Synesthesia and Nestdrop.

Tron Jovi is the solo moniker of Milwaukee-based producer, Martin Defatte, more widely known as producer and DJ of Guerrilla Ghost and Diamond Life. Tron will be performing dubbed out beats + tape loops in-between artist sets.
