WT NEWTON
Spotify | Instagram
As 2014 saw the disbandment of Southern Illinois' rowdiest bunch of pickers, County Graves, it also ushered in a new era for guitarist and vocalist WT Newton. Holing himself up in his cabin within the Shawnee National Forest, he wrote a whole new story that glided between sad folk songs and sparse compositions that ruminated on heartbreak and loss. It's a new chapter for WT Newton, and there are many more peaks and valleys to be explored.

FOOD NOT BOMBS
Facebook | Instagram
Food Not Bombs is an international effort first started through anti-war & anti-nuclear movements in the 1980s, stemming from the slogan Money for Food not Bombs! FnB is purposely organized without centralized leadership, meaning local chapters run themselves and are able to flexibly respond to community needs by its own members. Being Anarchist in origin and practice, our beliefs and actions focus on building community, giving support and resources to each other in any ways we can, strengthening mutual aid networks outside of restrictive hierarchical power structures. Our slogan is Solidarity Not Charity, directly commenting on our intent to help others live lives of dignity without dictating what that means for them, we meet people where they are at. We consistently distribute ready to eat and shelf-stable food, clothing, harm reduction supplies such as Naloxone (Narcan), toiletries, and whatever other donations we can get our hands on.
