BARTENDER
If you’ve been to X-Ray, you already know if it’s the place for you. So we’ll get straight to the boring stuff:
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure guests entering the venue are greeted promptly and in a friendly manner.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all guests and performers.
Take and fulfill beverage and food orders from bar patrons, and enter them accurately into the Point of Sale system.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with quality standards.
Complete daily opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
Follow all safety and security procedures for closing the bar.
Ensure all city and state laws, as well as health and safety standards are being followed and maintained.
Follow instructions both in the employee handbook and from management.
Count down the cash drawer at the end of the night, and deposit cash in the safe.
Familiarize yourself with all house cocktails and beverage specials.
Wash and sanitize glassware, and ensure all glassware is “beer clean.”
Maintain a clean bar space at all times; including counters, sinks, barware and storage areas.
Assist the restocking of bar inventory and supplies and to maintain proper PAR levels.
Knowledge of current and upcoming events in the venue.
Be a positive ambassador for our venue and its ethics / mission statement.
Qualifications
Positive attitude, friendly personality, and strong communication skills.
Have a working knowledge of beer and spirits, and common craft drink recipes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume bar and venue (live music) space.
Possess basic math and cash-handling skills to operate a cash register.
Reliable and punctual attendance.
Possess a valid / up-to-date Bartenders License
1+ year experience as a bartender required.
KITCHEN STAFF / BARBACK

Duties & Responsibilities
Execute job functions as directed by the Bar Manager, including primary responsibility of making food and secondarily assisting bar staff for general barback needs where appropriate.
Prepare food menu items consistently and according to recipes.
Ensure that food/orders come out cooked as instructed and in a timely fashion.
Deliver food to customers within the building based on a number system.
Contribute to the safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all guests and performers.
Maintain a stocked and organized station for the entirety of service.
Answer, report to, and follow instructions given by management staff.
Stay busy and work independently at an efficient and consistent pace.
Assist in side-work responsibilities as directed by the bar staff & manager.
Follow all safety, sanitization, and security procedures as directed by bar staff.
Ensure all city and state laws, as well as health and safety standards are being followed.
Follow instructions both in the employee handbook and from management.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Familiarize yourself with all house cocktails and beverage specials.
Wash and sanitize glassware, and ensure all glassware is “beer clean.”
Maintain a clean kitchen space at all times; including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
Knowledge of current and upcoming events in the venue.
Be a positive ambassador to our venue and its ethics / mission statement.
